HINDU NATIONALISM IS AN ALIEN IDEA

Idea of Hindu Nationalism and Hindu Raashtra have completely  been alien to the thousands of years of  Indian traditions. India has been the land of plural identities from the days immemorial. No king or ruler of past who has even a small say in the History of India had ever tried to make India a homogeneous religious entity.  This is true for rulers of all faiths. Even hard liner Muslim rules who introduced discriminatory practices like jajia could not converted India into a land of Islamic faith. And even those rulers had to accept plurality of India as her eternal truth.
            India , unlike Middle East could face onslaught of Islamic expansion as India had her own plural culture which was capable of adjusting people of varied faiths. That's why unlike Europe which had to undergo bloody phase in her history in her effort to counter the expansion of Islam India was successful in containing that expansion by adjusting Islam in her wide cultural lap. In fact India could take shape of India on the strength of the thoughts of inclusiveness.           
         Britishers were the first rulers who introduced basis of ethnic identity for the  rule of the country. In the West in those days ethnic identity and linguistic characteristics were the most important factors for establishment of nations and nation states. Ethnicity and language were the basic foundations for identity of nationalism of the western nation states. This is even true today for the West. But in contrast , in India these were not cultural or political matters for the rule of the country and for the recognition or acceptance Of the nation. Rather Indianess  had been present even in those days and that Indianess was made possible by Indian culture, language, literature , religion, history, and society. Hinduism was one  religion coexisting with many others.Hinduism was dominant religion along with Buddhism for about one thousand years. Hinduism was never a set of  homogeneous practices and so Hinduism was amenable to the idea of adjusting plural faiths. Western thinkers couldn't understand the concept of one nation with plurality of identities. And so they started attempts to devide India on the basis of her plural identities of religions which was never before in her mythological and historical past. The educated but least enlightened Indians who were completely ignorant of India's great past were influenced by that western divisive ideological acts and they adopted the concept of Hindu Nationalism and Hindu Rashtra which were neither Indian in their historicity nor Indian in their present identity. And even today we are playing the game of Great Indian Division which is in contrast to Great Indian Inclusion. Concept of a religious nationalism in India is a concept of mediocracy. Those who are ignorant of greatness of India , which was made possible by her plural cultural groups advocate unipolar religio- cultural nation. When foundation is shaken the whole edifice of national identity is bound to be shaken.

WE NEED DEMOCRACY

    WE NEED DEMOCRACY All schemes and services are meant to serve the people and so the beneficiaries must have every right to make complaints if there is something wrong in the structure and / or in the implementation of the schemes and services. This right to complain is not a costly privilege but it's is the right and this right is protected when the people have right to free speech and other rights as enshrined in our Constitution. The government  is chosen to provide these services and schemes for their betterment, for improving their living standard and the government has no other business more important than this to do. BEYOND RT MODEL

BEYOND RT MODEL History is a playbook of fierce struggle among the state, the market and the community. There have been some rare periods of balance among them.  Present is also witnessing this fierce struggle. The state is advocating minimum.governsnce  in many parts of the world . This was also happened in past. And whenever this has happened the loser is always the community. Present is marked by failures of Reagon-Thatcher Model. Richness must have only objective and that objective is to enrich the community as a whole. The RT Model brought great richness but failed to enrich the community in the same proportion. This was due to its advocacy for minimal government. And so the RT Model has completed  it's life. This collapse is painful no doubt but beyond the curtain of economic depression social prosperity is waiting as there is no other way to keep nation states survived. If community is not brought in the center greater pain is inevitable.
