Has any of the Hindu janta asked his Hindu nationalist leader that what will have a Hindu Nation to offer the Hindu Janta which is not available right now in a secular set up? Is Hindu Nation going to make every Hindu Janta affluent, educated, employed, healthy, esteemed , dignified citizen? Is the worldly affairs of Hindu Janta going to be resolved in toto? Is Hindu Nation going to eliminate all sorts of inequalities including those of caste and gender based?
Of course no Hindu Janta has ever asked and that janta will never ask. Then what's the basis for support for Hindu Nation? Then only plausible reason to advocate for, to work for and to run for a Hindu nation is hate for all other religions, particularly for Islam.
Now the question arises why do we accept this hate for Islam with other religions? The nearest explanation is that one particular section who wants to rule over the country has nothing to offer to people for their freedom, dignity , growth and development. Then they know that taking into account the history of India the most suitable topic is religion which has one of the strongest emotional appeals, which has been deeply perpetuated in peopl'es popular culture by story telling nature of Hindu religion . And besides these , they know Hindu-Muslim devide is easy to be percolated down to the last man and woman as this land has history of conflicts between Hindu religion on one side and Buddhism, Jainism, Christianity and Islam on the other side. Further in history almost all important Hindu kings were defeated by Muslim rulers over a long period of history. All these factors are suitable to enflame religious -communal sentiment and that can be converted into vote without offering any real solutions to real problems .
Let's not forget once upon a time in 20th century these particular religious-communal outfits were considered only fringe. But politicians who were opposed to that sectarian outlook forgot to understand that considering the long history of religuous-communal conflicts which has been present from the history of B.C. such elements couldn't be fringe for long unless there could not be tackled intelligent Such elements could be defeated only by mass modern education, common economic growth, fast industrialization and mixed community dwelling made compulsory due to economic progress.
However Indian political elite , just after independence forgot her duty to deal with religious-communal fringe. That political elite just hoped that the constitutional provisions were enough to deal with the communal differences. This was a very serious shortcoming for a political ruling class which had just witnessed world history's one of the most gruesome riots. Political romancism which was in vogue those days could not ensure elimination of communal politics and religious culture by modern education and economy. Indian education continued as it was drawn by the Raj and could not provide place for research in the fields of Indian education and modern scientific education. That colonial education from primary to higher level was impotent and could not generate Modern Indianess among free Indians. Similarly political system under the burden of her ideology failed to transform agricultural economy into industrial one. Health was another causality of that romantic leadership . The consequences were very apparent. India continued to grow like a chaotic feudal country with scattered spots of modernity. This led to large scale inequality , inequality in all spheres , social, cultural, economic, regional , political, gender, communal, etc. This growing inequality provided the fertile soil for growth of discontent.
When society is grabbed by discontent ideological frauds get opportunity to exploit the feeling of discontent.
